undead district by Vaghauk undead district by Vaghauk
"the city council nuked this district 25 years ago but the resulting radiation levels made things much worse - new, bizzarre mutations grew in the canalization and abandoned metro system and spread over the entire metropole.Everybody had to be evacuated.
But some years ago an big Megavision company picked the site for producing their famous "Z.A.N.E.*" show - and the upper parts of the old city are now populated by an rich and decadent high society,an army of security forces and Megavision technicians. It also turned out to be one of the top ten tourist locations.Daily sightseeing tours to the undead district, and an fancy welcome gift in form of an Chainsaw are some of the attractions." :D

Looks really great- I especially like how you have drawn the background- I should do some more complex backgrounds from time to time :P
Oh, and the zombie looks great (and scary!) as well :D

thanx !!!! i even used an perspective - grid in the beginning - but i guess i messed the perspective up anyway - the builings started with quite random vertical and horizontal lines - using the shift key - only later i discovered some forms in it.

Uh- I always have my problems with the perspective- for me it looks perfectly ok, but that's probably just because of my lack of knowledge :P
Hehe, but random lines are really great to come up with something new- or just with something if you have no idea what to draw actually :)

oh yeah ! random really rules a lot of times in my work ! i spent some month-or years without (nearly never) using an rubber - i mostly drew with ink anyway - always direkt black and white on spot - since my overall knowledge of drawing was quite limited, and i was not much into observation-drawing i forced my self to make everything up out of my head that time my drawing style got a bit "arty" and repetetive cause i always used the same elements again and again.Lets say i built up my own limited graphical universe i could draw with quick lines and without thinking to much.
examples of this style are "have a slice of the moon" ,"birth of an idea" or "musicians" in the MindfulTriphammer gallery.I used this approach with my Lisbon-drawings -which i can draw practically with my eyes closed. But to be so focused on an specific "graphical universe" brings also big problems - its dificult to shake off the "habits" and approach things on an different way.But its possible to create some kind of balance - which should create an unic personal tyle.
puuh (hab ich das grad geschrieben?? :D aaah - schnell weitermaln ! :O

Yeah- I certainly know that too- Also because I long disliked to use any references or stuff like that.. all my creatures looked really alike and then I started to draw dragons. I try to get rid of them, but even when I draw some weird creature it has some similarities with a dragon. It's really annoying- but I know of this weakness and I will work on it :P
I will try to draw more non-dragonlike concepts, without stop to draw dragons completely :P
