this is the second and last bunch of the dark-force ships. this ships belong to the terrible fleet of the cruel Spad, ruthless leader of the dark empire. the first image shows some drones, in the middle we have the mighty destroyer and at last the titanic behemoth- the mother of all ships. this illustrations are made for an card game. stay tuned for more details. next in line : the radiant fleet of Queen Lucia-graceful ruler of the forces of light.
I think out of these three the Titantic Behemoth is my favorite The size of it is enormous and I love the design and angle you chose. Not to mention all of those little details you put into it. But all 3 are very very impressive!
all hard work and suffering my friend- no reason to be envious... but you know that. itīs amazing how many approaches there are to paint - and how much easier things work if i can see a form like - just an form - and not related to anything. when iīm painting/drawing human body or even creature i get stuck because all the forms seem to be so much more difficult- because they are part of something established. with the space-ships it seems to be a bit easier- maybe because if i paint an part of the ship nobody really knows what part it is- when it comes to cockpits, weapons and stuff the difficulty rises - because that are more a less established forms (at least itīs what my mind does to them- defining them into some pr-established form). well i dont know if this makes any sence... but if i could look at something and just see shadows-light and forms- it would be easier to paint it.being focused and loose at the same time is not easy. on some days i struggle until works seems to flow and on others it never flows.most people cant tell the difference when they look at the result- and sometimes the "struggled" paintings end up being intersting aswell- but in most cases i dont like them.often is what i like the most not so intresting for others- and what i like less everybody applauds.
I know exactly what you mean! This past year I have stayed away from drawing people or anything, like you said, that has been established already. Makes things much more difficult but I plan on at least trying this year a bit harder I always stick to the things I can be really creative with, since I rarely ever use references. I like my artwork better that way I also have artist block somedays too, and other days It just flows. So I know exactly what you mean. It can be very frustrating at times, but once it does start to flow its well worth it
